Marian Elsie  Stewart
Marian Elsie Stewart, 91, of Cross Lanes, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2016 of a long illness.

She was born in Wagontown, PA on August 24, 1924; the daughter of James Vernon and Amy Elizabeth McWilliams.

Marian enjoyed traveling, especially to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware to visit her family. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family. Marian was a Christian.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Ray Stewart; brothers, James V. McWilliams Jr., and Charles I. McWilliams; sisters, Kathryn A. Williams, and Bettie A. Dean; granddaughters, Karen E. Smith; and son-in-law, Richard M. Nutter.

Marian is survived by her sons, Raymond Stewart (Rhonda), and John Stewart (Linda); daughters, Claudia Layne (Bill), and Beth “Bebe” Bostic (Orville); sister, Pauline Sheaffer (Robert); eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Broadmore Assisted Living and Teays Valley Center for their loving care and support.

A gathering of her family and friends will be held from 12:30pm to 2pm on Friday, July 15, 2106 with funeral service beginning at 2pm. Pastor Ron Armstrong with be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
