David Paul  Reed
David Paul Reed, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was a talented musician who loved to sing, play piano and bass guitar. David preformed with gospel groups: Anointed, Chapelman Quartette, Eastern Sky, Frontline, New Prophets, and the Tignors. He was an active member of the Pocatalico Community Church. David was retired from Pepsi Cola after 36 years of driving truck and working on vending machines. He enjoyed woodworking. David loved nature: watching animals, birds, and growing bright flowers.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Ida Reed; and sister, Sharon Foster.

Left to cherish his memory is his sweetheart of 27 years, Connie Vealey; sister, Carol Cook (Tommy); brothers, Lonnie Reed (Debbie) and Roger Reed (Annette); nephews, Edward Foster and William Reed; nieces, Beth Chapman (Greg), Emily Reed, Savannah Reed, and Jennifer Reed.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow at Mr. Reed’s Farm.
