Obituary for Raymond Edward Ray

Raymond Edward  Ray
Raymond Edward Ray, 82, of Charleston passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

He was the son of the late Charles and Ruby Lanham Ray. Raymond was a life time member of the WV Polled Hereford Association, Retired from Dougherty Company, and a Retiree of the WV Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Union #625, and attendee of Humphrey’s United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers, Landon and Jobe Ray; and brother in law, Harry Fisher.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Betty A. Ray; son, Bill Ray and his wife Terri: grandchildren, Aaron Ray and his wife, Jessica; great grandchildren, Sofia and Piper, and granddaughter, Lindsey; son, Steven and his wife, Amanda: grandson, John Qualls and his wife, Shanna, great granddaughter, Mckenzie; sisters, Juanita Duff (Allen) and Vallie Fisher; and sister in law, Betty Ray.
and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at noon on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor George Webb officiating.

Interment will take place at Floral Hills Garden of Memoires.
